Terms of Service

01The service

OpenMontage is an agent-driven video production engine. It plans, writes, storyboards, narrates, scores, composes and renders a video from a brief and the materials you provide. The engine is open source; the hosted generation service is operated by us and is what a paid plan buys access to.

02Your account

You sign in with Google. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping access to your Google identity secure. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to buy a plan.

03Plans, credits and billing

Paid plans are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. Each plan includes a monthly or yearly allowance of production credits that covers the generation stages: images, clips, narration, music and any other metered asset. Credits refresh with each billing period and unused credits do not roll over unless a plan states otherwise.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings, and access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.

04Prepaid schedules

You can schedule a prepaid instalment instead of a recurring subscription. A prepaid instalment is charged once, covers the period shown at checkout, and does not renew. Prices shown at checkout are the prices that apply.

05Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• produce content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• impersonate a person or brand in a way designed to deceive;
• generate sexual content involving minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery of any kind;
• attempt to bypass credit accounting, rate limits or access controls;
• resell raw generation capacity without a written agreement.

06Your content

You keep all rights to the briefs, footage, brand assets and finished videos you bring or produce. You grant us only the limited licence needed to generate the assets you request and to operate your account. Renders carry no watermark and may be used commercially on every tier, including free.

07Third-party models and assets

Generation may use third-party models and asset catalogs. Each asset ships with a provenance report naming its source, licence and model. Open models and providers are permitted, and you may bring your own keys, in which case their terms apply to that usage.

08Availability

We work to keep the service available, but generation depends on third-party providers and may be interrupted. Failed generations are refunded automatically to your credit balance.

09Liability

The service is provided on an as-is basis. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new date, and continued use after that date means you accept them.
